Refund Policy

Community Education agencies may cancel any class or program that does not meet the minimum enrollment. A full refund will be issued to those who register for a class that is canceled or full. Refunds will also be given if weather or an emergency closes school districts. To drop a class you must request a refund from the agency with which you are registered three (3) working days before the class starts. No refunds will be given once the class has started.

Description:
Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar, but simply find it difficult to find the time? In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give yourself years of musical enjoyment. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Since this class is being held online, you will be able to sit at home with your guitar and take this class without any pressure.  Class includes an online book and follow-up video lessons to continue your practice and study on your own. An optional online question and answer session and a recording of the class are included. For ages 13 . 

Topics include:
  • How chords work in a song
  • How to form the three main types of chords
  • How to tune your guitar
  • Basic strumming patterns
  • How to buy a good guitar (things to avoid)
  • How to play along with simple tunes
Bring to Class:
This class is offered over ZOOM, so you will need internet access and computer/tablet. Guitar will also be needed.
