Refund Policy

Community Education agencies may cancel any class or program that does not meet the minimum enrollment. A full refund will be issued to those who register for a class that is canceled or full. Refunds will also be given if weather or an emergency closes school districts. To drop a class you must request a refund from the agency with which you are registered three (3) working days before the class starts. No refunds will be given once the class has started.

Description:
Join the 6th grade track team and have lots of fun learning running, jumping, and throwing techniques. Participate in sprints, hurdles, distance running, jumping, throwing, and relay races.  There is something for everyone. 6th grade track athletes will compete in 1 home track meet during the season.  Practices to be held at the Grand Rapids High School gym and track. Great program to introduce you to the Thunderhawk Track program! 

Athletes must be registered with Community Education to participate. 

When: STARTING Tuesday, April 2

Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays  April 2 - May 16
(practice on school days only)

Practice Time: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 3:30pm - 5:00pm
                Wednesday 3:00pm to 4:30pm

Practice Location: Grand Rapids High School Gym and Track

Track Meet: May 6th 4pm at the Grand Rapids High School Track

Uniform: For meets athletes will wear an orange t-shirt or purchase a Thunderhawk track t-shirt for $10.  Order Link:tinyurl.com/trackshirt24

Transportation: Students can ride the bus from RJEMS to the high school.  Athletes may not walk or ride bikes.  You must request transportation, use the online form:

Bring to practice: A good pair of running shoes. Appropriate clothing for the day’s weather, water bottle.  Athletes can change in the locker rooms in the High School Gym.  They should be prepared to practice indoors and outdoors every day.
