Refund Policy

Community Education agencies may cancel any class or program that does not meet the minimum enrollment. A full refund will be issued to those who register for a class that is canceled or full. Refunds will also be given if weather or an emergency closes school districts. To drop a class you must request a refund from the agency with which you are registered three (3) working days before the class starts. No refunds will be given once the class has started.

Description:

Are you interested in a career working with kids? This class will allow young adults to explore opportunities and careers focused on working with children. Additionally it serves as training to work as a Camp Discovery Camp counselor (in which case you may be eligible to be paid to take this course). Come explore a variety of topics related to working with youth including child development, classroom/ group environment, building relationships, and planning lessons and activities. The course is ideal for any young adult (16 ) considering work or a profession in such areas as education, social work, early childhood, K-12 teaching, counseling, youth development, or other human service professions.
