Refund Policy

Community Education agencies may cancel any class or program that does not meet the minimum enrollment. A full refund will be issued to those who register for a class that is canceled or full. Refunds will also be given if weather or an emergency closes school districts. To drop a class you must request a refund from the agency with which you are registered three (3) working days before the class starts. No refunds will be given once the class has started.

Course Description:

This is a skill course designed to produce student proficiency in the performance of the duties associated with Engine Boss, single resource (ENGB). Topics include engine and crew capabilities and limitations, information sources, fire sizeup considerations, tactics, and wildland/urban interface.

Objective:

Perform the tasks of an Engine Boss in making the tactical decisions required to safely manage an engine on an incident.

Personnel desiring to be qualified as Engine Boss, single resource (ENGB).

Prerequisites:
Qualified as FFT1 or engine operators,chief officers, and company officers meeting NFPA1021.CompletionofIntermediate Wildland Fire Behavior S-290 and Crew Boss (Single Resource), S-230
